The Chicago Chapter of the National Black MBA Association is now accepting nominations for its 2027–2028 Executive Leadership Team.

Serving as an officer is an opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and impact of the chapter while developing your leadership, expanding your network, and helping shape the future of our organization. We are committed to identifying leaders who are aligned with our mission and prepared to support the chapter’s continued brand elevation and expansion of programming.

Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking leaders who are ready to contribute, collaborate, and help elevate the chapter into what’s next.

Position Overviews

President: Serves as the chief executive leader of the chapter, responsible for setting vision, driving strategy, leading the Executive Committee, and representing the chapter externally.

Vice President of Operations: Ensures internal effectiveness and execution by overseeing committees, strengthening processes, and driving accountability across initiatives.

Vice President of Strategic Programming: Leads the design and execution of impactful programs and events that enhance member engagement and elevate the chapter’s visibility.

Treasurer: Oversees financial management, reporting, and sustainability while ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making.

Financial Secretary: Maintains accurate financial records, tracks incoming funds, and supports financial transparency and accountability.

Corresponding Secretary: Manages official communications, ensuring timely and consistent information sharing with members and stakeholders.

Recording Secretary: Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of the chapter’s official proceedings, including Executive Committee and General Membership meetings. This role ensures that meeting minutes are documented, organized, and accessible in alignment with governance standards.
